We do not receive many mailings from Bear River. Bear River gives very generous birthday month free play of $15 along with $10 sign up free play. There were many ‘first time’ slots for us. The slots are upscale and better than Reno. It is the newest of all three Casinos with construction on-going. It has an onsite gas station and mini-mart (Costco in Eureka gas is much cheaper). The Casino, itself sits on a hill above Hwy 101, with a beautiful view of the valley below and a stream/river running through the valley.
However, friendly ‘security patrols’ were ever present. Bear River’s undedicated RV lot (section of regular parking lot) has FEW to no, amenities and lots of feral cats, as somebody feeds them up along the stone wall. We will give each an order of preference giving reasons for each. We would like to share and compare the ‘pro’ and ‘cons’ of each one. We enjoyed our stay at each one for different reasons. All three Casinos have free RV parking which can accommodate our 37’ motor home. All three are within a 25 mile radius with Blue Lake between the two others. There are THREE Indian Casinos in the Eureka and Fortuna area: Bear River Casino, near Fortuna, off Hwy 101 Cher-ae Heights Casino, near Trinidad, off Hwy 101 and Blue Lake Casino, off Hwy 299, in Blue Lake.
